A ROOM WOVEN WITH STORIES – BISHOP’S LODGE X ZAZI
For this special collaboration, ZAZI, Kullvi Whims and Runway Nagaland came together to transform the Valley View Suite at Bishop’s Lodge into a space where craft, culture, and design intersect. Every element in the room tells a story, celebrating the artistry of handmade textiles and the traditions behind them.
Nestled at the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains near Santa Fe, New Mexico, Bishop’s Lodge blends natural beauty with historic charm. Its serene setting provided the perfect backdrop for a project that honors artisan craftsmanship while creating a warm, inviting interior.
The collaboration draws on ZAZI’s philosophy of connecting heritage, craft, and storytelling. Working with Runway Nagaland, which empowers indigenous artisans in Northeast India, and Kullvi Whims, known for their thoughtful textile design, ZAZI transformed textiles into a narrative experience. Handmade fabrics, intricate weaving, and culturally inspired patterns now become part of the living space, giving the room a sense of depth and history.
ZAZI’s work has always focused on translating traditional techniques into contemporary fashion. In this project, those same principles extend beyond clothing to the home. Each piece in the suite, from woven throws to wall hangings, carries a story of hands, time, and heritage. The interior becomes a canvas where fashion, craft, and design coexist.
The Valley View Suite becomes more than a room; it is a space where stories live, a place where craft, culture, and comfort meet. A home like a garment can be woven with meaning. And with this collaboration, ZAZI opens the door to a world where craft lives around you, every day.
