The Aarohi Dress, meaning “to ascend” in Hindi, embodies growth, hope, and feminine strength, radiating elegance and confidence in every detail.

We named this shade Saffron Moon — a warm, creamy hue that is both timeless and sophisticated. Crafted in collaboration with our skilled artisan partners at Kumbaya, the fabric is handwoven from naturally dyed Kosha silk, reflecting a perfect blend of traditional Indian craftsmanship and sustainable luxury.

Each gown is exquisitely adorned with intricate zardozi embroidery, a centuries-old hand-embellishment technique that adds shimmering depth and refined elegance. More than just a dress, the Aarohi Dress is a dreamy, romantic statement piece designed to make your most special occasions unforgettable.

ARTISANAL NOTE

In 1994, Nivedita Banerji started Kumbaya as a stitching centre in a remote village in Dewas district, Madhya Pradesh. Today, over 100 women from marginalised communities work in Kumbaya Producer Company Ltd, where employment is guaranteed for 300 days a year. 

Banerji says nothing is considered waste at Kumbaya, with leftover waste being reused to make another garment besides creating sustainable fabrics. “We have always re-used dead stock discarded by industrial fabric units and bought hand-woven and other artisanal cotton fabric made by skilled craftspeople across the country. I want to make Kumbaya work more on circular fashion and design,” she adds.

  • Protect from heavy rain or heat. Should it become wet, we advise to air dry. 
  • To preserve the quality of the thread and colour, hand washing is recommended. However, for optimal care, we advise dry cleaning whenever possible.
