Geeta is 30 years old, she learned Rabari embroidery from her mother-in-law. Rabari as an art form is slowly disappearing as only the women from the older generation know this art form; the younger generations have not learned it. She hopes her daughter learns it someday, but she would have to see its value as a future career choice. Geeta has done a 1-year design course and is an entrepreneur herself. She creates pieces on order and engages with her local community of elder women to create pieces with the Rabari heritage. She hopes to find avenues to grow her business.
