The new ZAZI collection is a collaboration with the women’s weaving collective of Chinchero, Cusco.
For this community, the foundation of creation is rooted in generations of knowledge passed down through the hands of women. From the age of seven, they learn to spin alpaca and sheep wool, wash it in the crystal-clear mountain waters, and dye it using plants like Nogal and Palo Palo. Every thread they weave carries the story of their mountains, their families, and the sacred balance between the lakes Piuray and Huaypo.
At the heart of the collective is Norberta Auccacusi Huamán, who leads a circle of women aged 17 to 54. Together, they continue a craft as old as their village itself, one that is deeply intertwined with the rhythm of nature and the stories of their ancestors.
We hope you feel the care, tradition, and love that is woven into every piece of this collection.
